Learning about taking care of horses is one of our central activitiesWolfTown rescues and reschools horses. These animals fall into two categories:

1) The philanthropic rescue saves animals that would otherwise be destroyed due to injury, abuse, or neglect. Participants witness the emotional and physical healing of these animals, invariably experiencing compassion and empathy as they work with the horses.

2) Other horses are donated to the program for children to ride. These animals remain in the program as teaching horse or participants work with the horse to prepare it for adoption.

Horses available for adoption

Wolftown's horse project includes a training program that includes tacking-up through all levels of clinics. Participants also have the opportunity to learn training techniques and barn management.

At the trotIn addition to training the horses, WolfTown teaches participants to ride. This takes place on many levels, depending on the student's aspirations. Competitive riding is included within the parameters of the business.

The current schedule for the horse project can be obtained by calling 206-463-9113.
